Publicizing your gigs
It appears that one of the primary causes of low turnout at progressive rock shows is that nobody knows about them. Here are some places to advertise your gig for free.

Local newspapers are eager to place your show in their events listings. The basic idea is to submit a blurb about the event, complete with contact information, three weeks in advance.
