Welcome to BayProg, a web site of resources for San Francisco Bay Area progressive rock musicians and fans.

Update June 7: Lots of new concerts.

Hats off to the Mountain Winery summer series for solidly prog rock lineup that includes The Moody Blues, King Crimson, Brit Floyd, Chick Corea, Bela Fleck, Bryan Ferry, and Yes, Excellent taste.

Meanwhile, some strange alignment of the stars brings us roughly simultaneous concerts from Roger Waters and three Pink Floyd cover bands.

And for more confusion, note that the Anderson/Rabin/Wakeman Yes and the Davison/Howe/White/Downes/Sherwood Yes are touring simultaneously.

New Albums

What is this BayProg?

BayProg is the original regional progressive rock web site, first appearing in early 1999.

The goals of BayProg are, roughly:

The BayProg web site has evolved to a pretty hefty size; it's now about 25 pages worth of good stuff.  And the BayProg email list has a little over 150 members.

I want to make BayProg as good as it can be, so please send me any news, updates, additions, ideas or corrections.

This site is now written using XHTML1.0 Strict to be compatible with mobile wireless browsing devices and the newer browser standards.  As a side effect, the display will be readable but less charming in ancient browsers (like Netscape Navigator 4.0 for instance).  Such is life.  As always, please tell me if anything comes out badly.
